Mother To Mother is a Nashville-based nonprofit that provides health and wellness items to mothers in need. Since its inception nearly 20 years ago, Mother To Mother has distributed millions of diapers, car seats, clothes, cribs, strollers, products, gear, and other essential baby items to low-income children from newborn to age 10.
Communities In Schools of Tennessee and Mother To Mother have worked together to support families in our CIS schools across Nashville. By providing strollers, clothes, car seats, and other essential baby items to our families, Mother To Mother’s support plays an integral part in how we are able to serve the whole family, and not just the students in our school buildings. If a parent has the items and support they need to take care of a new baby, the easier it is for them to get the older siblings to school on time.
Mother To Mother and CIS at Paragon Mills kicked off the school year by making sure that every student had the school supplies they needed as they prepared to return to class. Mother to Mother put so much planning and support into this event, and we are so appreciative of their partnership! Back-to-school season was easier for these families and students because of it.
