Nashville

In school year 2012-13, Communities In Schools (CIS) of Tennessee launched its efforts in Nashville and has grown to serve nearly 7,500 students, case-managing approximately 10% of those students, in 17 Metro Nashville Public Schools (MNPS).

We work to remove the non-academic barriers that prevent student success in the classroom.  In partnership with MNPS, we provide and broker daily school-based interventions designed to reduce chronic absenteeism and improve course performance for students in grades K-12.
