Bailey is Showing Up

At Clarkrange High School, freshman Bailey, has completely changed the way she shows up to school - literally and figuratively.

When the school year began, Bailey struggled with time management and often showed up late - or not at all. Her attendance rate was just 76%, and she had little motivation to be in class. But with consistent support from her #CISTN program manager, Brooke Clark, things started to shift.

Bailey began attending weekly small group sessions focused on social-emotional learning topics like time management. She also got excited about the attendance reward drawing, where one student from each grade is recognized with a goodie bag, a school announcement, and a shoutout on the bulletin board.

That small incentive sparked a big change: Bailey started showing up consistently, keeping her tardies down, and working toward her goals. Her attendance has skyrocketed to 97.98% - and she recently won the weekly attendance reward! Now, she’s setting her sights on the monthly prize.

“I am so proud of Bailey for her newfound commitment and excitement to be present in school,” says Clark. And we are too. 💙
